On the arts and entertainment scene, Arnhem has always something for everyone. The Schouwburg and the Musis Sacrum offer incredible international dance and music performances in the month of February.
Friday, 5 February: Première Holland Amerika Lijn by Introdans at the Schouwburg Arnhem . Holland Amerika Lijn focuses on choreographers from America. In this programme Introdans presents imposing work by the old masters Glen Tetley and José Limón. The successful international choreographer Robert Battle is also featured with a swinging dynamic choreography. Holland Amerika Lijn is a programme full of dance and vitality. Friday 12 February: "Sun" at Schouwburg Arnhem, main hall, 20.15. The completely new and spectacular production of Fire of Anatolia "Sun" a special and exciting choreography. The Turkish dance show deals with the mythical sun worship by various world powers of centuries ago. The traditional sun-worship rituals in 'Sun' together into one unforgettable theatrical experience, where dozens of dancers interpret the story Fire of Anatolia in an inimitable way. Besides the element of the Sun, there will be new scenes, new costumes and newly composed music. "Sun" an amazing show to be seen for the first time in the Dutch theaters.

Wednesday 17 February: Pip Utton "the war or of the worlds" at the Schouwburg Arnhem, kleine zaal, 20.30. "From Pip Utton everything you want to see" The Reuters headline after the double bill performance last season. This season we offer you that option during the Pip Utton week (17 to February 20). Four performances of this great English actor will be presented this week in the small hall of Schouwburg Arnhem. "The War of the Worlds" is inspired by the book by HG Wells. The story: an invasion by Martians is imminent and the world has no choice but to defend against intruders. Read more here.
Wednesday 24 February: "An international musical encounter" at the Musis Sacrum, Jubileumzaal, 21.00. Vocals: Simin Tander • Piano: Jeroen van Vliet • Guitar: Bebo Ferra • bass: Paolino dalla Porta Jazz Foundation Arnhem presents four musicians, who bring out the best in each other. Four very individual musicians from different countries and with different cultural backgrounds have their first musical encounter. And that's good news for those who love to hear high quality jazz music. Vocalist Simin Tander (Afghan-German) and pianist Jeroen van Vliet (Dutch) know each other through a collaboration with Eric Vloeimans. Recently they formed a duo because they found many similarities in their musical character and technicality. The second couple, guitarist Bebo Ferra and double-bassist Paolino dalla Porta (both Italian, especially in Holland for this concert), is already known among jazz fans through their performance at the SPRNG jazz festival 2005.
