Tips for activities in the region

There are a wide range of different activities that the region offers for families with children. Below you will find some of them.

Indoor Activities:

Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn

Paleis Het Loo is a palace, more than three hundred years old, close to the town of Apeldoorn. The former royal residence has been open to the public since 1984. For more information look at www.paleishetloo.nl

Kasteel De Haar

One of the most visited castles in the Netherlands. For more information look at www.kasteeldehaar.nl (unfortunately the information available is only in Dutch).

The Burgers’ Zoo with indoor areas like the tropical, the desert and the ocean zones (www.burger’szoo.nl ). Another interesting attraction is the covered and big playground in the Ouwehand Zoo in Rhenen (www.ouwehand.nl ).

The Water Museum (www.watermuseum.nl ) is usually very popular for kids as there are interactive interesting activities.

Nemo Science Center in Amsterdam (www.e-NEMO.nl): a fascinating voyage through the world of knowledge and technology.
