The greenest town of Europe with 48 beautiful Parks has participated to the Park day on 30 May with different events in Arnhem most known parks. The months of June, July and August are full of diverse events taking place in many locations in town.
The official opening of the Butterfly Garden in Parkweg took place on 30 May. The garden is opposite the Brasserie Boerderij between the Sonsbeek and Zypendaal Parks. The entrance is free. Betterfly are the central theme. As there are no parking facilities it is recommended to go by bike or to walk there. Mayor Krikke has officially opened the garden.To know more look here.
Anniversary of Park Open starting on 30th May until 21st August. "Park Open" started twenty years ago at the Ronde Weide in Sonsbeek Park. What is Park Open? It is a live music event with performances by different bands. The theme of the festival is Fado together with other dancing music with different food specialties. The entrance is free and dogs are not allowed.
"Groeten uit"....terras, this is the name of the exhibition organized by the National Historic Mueseum, the TrixenReeshuis and cafe' Dudok. The exhibition takes place in Arnhem Centrum until 20 June. Last year the Dutch people were invited to send postcards featuring new themes from the Netherlands. Almost 8,000 pictures were sent. The exhibitions are located in different shops and bars including Dudok and Trix en Reeshuis.

Kunstbedrijffestival Young coursists will present their work on different podia of the city on art, dance and music.
Nacht van de Mode (Night of Fashion) will take place in Klarendal on 12 June. Late night shopping in the "Mode Kwartier"at different fashion shops in Klarendalseweg and Sonsbeeksingel.
World football championship at the Korenmarkt from 11 June to 11 July.
Papendal Games on 30 June. Together with Fanny Blankers Koen-games, Papendal Games represent one of the biggest atletics event in the Netherlands. Free entry.
