Here we are, back from the holidays, back to daily life! What a different start with the softness of the snow and the beauty of the sunlight! I could not believe my eyes when I saw the whole of the Sonsbeek lake totally frozen. Even more stunned when I saw that people were joyously walking, skating and sleighing on the lake as naturally as if it has always been this way. Even though, the scenery is what used to be normal in the past, as I was told by some local friends, it was my first time to experience such a sight in the five years I have been in the Netherlands.

The children are the ones who are enjoying it the most. Some of them have already experienced the side effects of falling on the ice. So enjoy it but pay attention not to injure yourself!A New Year that brings about good and bad news: new challenges and new doubts about our future. What a better way to start the year and focus on ourselves by finding the balance and the strength required to face them positively. There are possibilities of yoga classes in English or gyms to join, better still perhaps an outing to a SPA to shrink our waistline and balance our souls ...
